ANIOMA YOUTHS MEETS, PASS CONFIDENCE VOTE IN SENATOR NED NWOKO

The gale of endorsement of Senator Ned Nwoko’s performance at the National Assembly has continued with a resounding vote of confidence by Youths from Delta North Senatorial District.

Thousands of youths drawn from the 9 local government areas of Delta North, popularly called Anioma, gathered at Idumuje-Ugboko country home of Prince Ned Nwoko where they expressly hailed his stint so far at the senate and proclaimed that the Senator earned their admiration for exemplary stewardship.

In an unanimous motion from Emmanuel Zelinjo, Aniocha North seconded by Aduye Lucky-Elite Amechi, Aniocha South, the youths across all Delta North local government areas said they acknowledged the achievements of Senator Nwoko on human capital development and provision of social infrastructure in Anioma land .

Barely a week ago, Anioma political leaders had at a Town Hall meeting at Asaba commended Senator Nwoko for his excellent commitment to duty while Delta North monarchs, followed by women group from the senatorial district passed a vote of confidence in him.

The latest acclamation by Anioma youths attracted representatives of the youths from Aniocha North, Aniocha South, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, Ika South, Ika North East, Ndokwa West, Ndokwa East and Ukwuani.

Addressing the youths, Senator Ned Nwoko who welcomed them in company of his wife, Regina Danieis Nwoko, said the support of the youths was a morale booster.

He said he is in the senate not just to “make laws for the good governance of the Nation” but also to engender lasting socio -economic development.

According to the senator:

“ I came prepared to serve because I understand the problems and challenges of the people. Youths are very important to me. I love your energy, creativity and innovation. Every young person in Anioma will be encouraged to excel.

“ I have numerous bills for the betterment of the society. Bills on firearms, rent control, citing of Nigerian Defense Academy in Kwale and so on are all very significant.

“Moreover, I have done much towards the completion of Okpai electricity project, Ogwashi Uku dam and construction of strategic road network in Delta North.

“I am interested in the well being of my people. As long as you live in Anioma, I represent you. Let me inform you that I just secured the release of some persons arrested by security agents, for ownership of gun factory. The factory is termed illegal but I believe that they should be encouraged to regularize their operations. Their ingenuity can be channeled to good use towards industrial revolution”

Senator Ned Nwoko also told the gathering of Anioma youths that he established the first sports university in sub Saharan Africa to promote education and sporting excellence, as his contribution to the development of Anioma, Delta and Nigeria.

The Senator said the Sports university is in partnership with over 5 foreign universities in Europe and other parts of the world in the area of scholarship and urged the youths to embrace the opportunities offered to fulfill their destinies.

OLISA RECEIVES HOSTCOM YOUTHS

The leadership of the youth wing of HOSTCOM, Ndokwa Nation, were, today, guests of the Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation on the board of DESOPADEC, Dr Charles Olisa.

Led by Comrade Kelly Akpe, the youth leaders said they came, among other things, to pay the Commissioner a congratulatory visit and to also discuss issues of concern with him.

They commended Dr Charles Olisa for his passion and commitment to work and assured him of their support and solidarity.

On his part, the Commissioner thanked them for the visit and promised to carry them along in all the activities and programmes of the Commission. He told them to expect a great deal from the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori led government. The Commissioner also enjoined them to be supportive of the present administration and ensure that peace is maintained in their various communities.

Also in the delegation were Hon Ignatius Osilonya, Comrade George Enubuzor, Mr Kings Lynn Odili, Comrade Kingsley Onah and others.

Dr Charles Olisa, the DESOPADEC Commissioner representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality today played host to the Aboh Youth Council led by Comrade Godday Ossai.

As usual and verified, Chief Dr Charles Olisa today assured them of his unwavering support and contact, enjoined the youths to ensure a peaceful society which is a great key in getting development.

Chief Charles Olisa who related very well with the youths had welcomed the youth body not by himself alone but with Ambassador Uboh Chukwuka Alex (PG Coalition of Ndokwa Peace Ambassadors), Comrade Ojugbali (ward 5 PDP chairman) amongst others.

The youths expressed joy saying the leadership style of Olisa is worth emulating.

Commissioner representing Ndokwa Nation ethnicity on the board of DESOPADEC, Chief Dr. Charles Olisa has congratulated the newly appointed Aboh Youth President Comrade Godday Ossai.

Comrade Godday Ossai sworn in today 9th Sept 2023 by the Aboh traditional council succeeded the former Aboh youth president Comrade Mike Ozoemene.

Chief Dr Charles Olisa in his congratulatory message signed by his media directorate to the newly appointed president said..

“Please accept my warm congratulations on your well deserved appointment as Aboh Youth President and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office.

ONYEME CHALLENGES YOUTHS TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE WITH EDUCATION.3rd August 2023

Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, has challenged youths to prepare for better future using education as platform.

Speaking when members of the National Association of Delta State Students Union, NADESSTU, led by their National President, Comrade Monday Wiska, paid him a congratulatory visit in his office, Government House, Asaba, the deputy governor emphasized that youths should take their studies serious no matter the condition they may find themselves while in school.

According to him, the pursuit of education laurels may not be easy but at the end, it prepares the individual for a better future.

“We know that for us to escape from poverty and all other forms of backwardness in this country and particularly in our state, we do not have any other choice than to be educated.

“It is only an educated person that can appreciate certain things. for instance, if you are not educated, there are a lot of things that you will never understand and you will never appreciate; with proper education, enlightenment, all forms of superstitious belief will be things of the past,” he said.

Onyeme, assured members the NADESSTU that the state government led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would always give priority attention to education in the state.

He said, “I am happy to have you in my office today, this is because we place much premium on the proper education of our youths.

“We will do everything to encourage students that are in institutions of higher learning to succeed; I want everyone of you to know that going to school is the only way forward for our future.

“Things may be difficult today, but I can assure you that all these are temporal and an educated person will always find a way out.”

The Deputy Governor advised students to shun cultism and other social vices that could destroy their future and encouraged them to take their studies serious.

Earlier in an address, the National President of NADESSTU, Comrade Monday Wiska, commended the Deputy Governor for his philanthropic disposition, especially his Education Fund that had helped a lot of Deltans in their educational pursuit.

Wiska said that through Onyeme’s encouragement and his involvement in sponsorship of education activities, most students were propelled to campaign for and stand behind the PDP during the elections.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, was among those who witnessed the courtesy visit.
