RE-ANIOMA STATE: IS IT A REALITY?
I will take this response line by line
The fact that professor Steve Agwo Okecha had said to himself what he fails to do several times shows a level of indecisiveness. I’ll advise you not to continue to make decisions when you now know that you’ll definitely not keep them. It is not because others with different views or opinions are shallow thinkers but because you believe you know it all.
I used to think that only uneducated people think so negatively and wrongly but today I clearly see that even the educated ones are the most ignorant and assumptive. To hear a professor claim that whenever non-Ukwani people discuss Ukwani joining the proposed Anioma State, that they’re doing it targeting hopefully for two reasons:
* The viability of the state is based on the oil and gas on our soil. – *please is Ukwani the only one that has Oil and gas in the soil of Delta North?* I’ll need the professor to tell us how only Ukwani has oil and gas in Delta North.
* the possibility of cashing in on our people’s docility political short-sightedness, servile and sycophantic disposition – tools for easy manipulation – *please somebody help us ask Mr professor how on earth, and who in particular is about to cash out? And why has he insulted Ukwani people this much of being docile, political short-sighted, servile and having sycophantic disposition? The professor has despised us (Ukwani) more than those he in the assumption, thinks will oppress us. Mr professor guffed.
According to Prof those that love the Creation of the State are ignorant and for political crumbs from their paymasters. They’re so myopic that they are unable to listen to their elders. Hunger is a terrible thing. – Good, how can such a useless word be coming from a supposed Prof? Just because the youths have a different opinion, they’re now myopic and hungry. How many of the youths are you feeding? All these Wole Soyinka type of prof self. Those supporting to have a state of our own are doing so because of crumbs from their paymasters which shows you’re writing this to please those who pay you.
Professor, so you don’t know what cultural ties are again or what? Now that you’ve shared how hausa, urhobo, isoko, ijaw, itsekiri etc do wear red Cap PLEASE SHARE HOW MANY OF THEM THAT SPEAKS “BIA” AS COME, please share those that bears Ifeanyi, Okecha, Azuka, Emeke, Chidimma etc as names
As a professor you should know that Igbo has many different dialects even as dialects differ in Ukwani communities. There are many igbo dialects and Ukwani is one of them. So all these names you’re mentioning are all Igbo names which only Igbo people can understand their meanings.
What is Anioma? Prof you know the meaning. So because you’re not amongst the coiners of the name that makes it evil? If you’re part of it, I am sure you’ll not take this position. Anioma is our business. You could accept Delta as a state name but can’t accept a name that represents you as a State name. Who does that? We have full and complete business with Anioma.
If you have written volumes about Ukwani identity and claim we’re not ibos, blablabla, and that we’re Ukwani, then I must call on all Ndokwa people to disregard your books as they’re all laced with falsehoods.
We Ukwani people migrated from somewhere to our present site.
Abbi as a clan was founded by Amacha who migrated from Echala in the then Anambra State and you dare tell me my history more than me?

Professor can you prove all the allegations you have levied on the ibos? Your pain is that you’re not part of those that coined the name of Anioma and yet, the name applies to us in Delta North.
How does marriage in Abbi look similar to that in ijaw land? Professor over to you. How does marriage in Obiaruku look similar to that of itsekiri?.
Dance? What is ekeneke? How many communities in Ndokwa Nation are mindful of such a dance? Our dance is like the ibos and not like what you have in urhobo where they jump to the sky in dance.
Burial rights? God forbid, what’s the similarities?
I truly doubt that this article is coming from a supposed professor and if it is true, then it’s such an unfortunate thing.
You’re afraid of the unknown, there are many ibo sub groups that are still thriving and I wonder why the ibos had not killed them all.
Why are you giving Ibos a bad name for nothing??

When Anioma State is created in the South East geopolitical zone,
* does it stop Ukwani from being Ukwani?
* Now that Ukwani is not in the south east geopolitical zone, what is our gain in the South South?
* Who’s controlling your oil in your soil?
Every ethnicity that speaks “BIA, ANI, ENU,” are all Ibo people.
